[Ecchi]Miracle Snack Shop

An earlier game from the team that made Some Some Convenience Store, this is a portal fantasy story based on a book of some sort. I think the Korean equivalent for a light novel.

It’s mostly the same idea as Some Some. You run a Snack Shop and date a heroine. The goal is to make enough money to unlock an ending while also advancing through the girls story line so you can do her ending at the end of the game’s calendar. Has some saucy art and the cgs are mostly on the hornier side without being over the top. Classy ecchi?

Story wise, it’s a portal fantasy. For those who don’t recognize that term, think isekai but you can go back and forth at will. Though it’s not the protagonist that goes back and forth, but the Queen of a Country that uses salt to cast magic. She ends up getting sick of being Queen for many reasons, and goes through a portal in her room that’s just been there. She ends up at Miracle Snack Shop, a place our run down MC is currently running do to some major debt issues and this being one of the few choices he had.

At first they can’t communicate at all, but she is hungry so our guy makes her some shaved ice. After eating that, she’s hooked and decides to visit once a week for a snack and to see this new world.

There’s also another heroine, named Mira, that shows up. She is definitely a sub heroine of sorts though. Her plot is small scale compared to the Queen’s, and is just kinda there. The two only interact once actually. In fact, I don’t think the Queen interacts with anyone other then the MC till the dlc and once with Mira. Mira at least has 1 NPC show up in her content, twice. That is the reason I feel Some Some is better then Snack Shop, the complete lack of a supporting cast makes the story less engaging. The work obsessed MC can only carry the interactions with the heroines so far, and without anyone else there’s just not as much chemistry to the interactions as Some Some has.

Like Some Some, the characters are not high schoolers. The guy is at least 25 since he just got out of enforced military service, and the main girl is 27-29. Note that she still acts like a chuuni kid since her world doesn’t have electricity and all the other usual what is this stuff.

Just like Some Some, you manage two stats of sorts to make money, though here it is a lot easier. You increase your cooking skill by making(spending money to make) new shaved ice, which go in some interesting directions. There are limited by time and story progress. Then you have fame, which is just throwing money at advertisement. These two stats decide how much you make each week. Heroine events generally take a bit of money here and there. The real goal of the money making is for two endings. Mira’s true ending requires 1 million, and the solo rich ending also requires 1 million, while Queen’s is just a thousand. So basically you do every other ending to get the ending bonuses to get rich enough to get those two in a single run.

The game does present quests, but all these are is learn this recipe for a bio. Which I think is just a list of references to other characters from Taleshop’s(the creator’s) games. You really only do the quests since you can only have one, and I think new recipes are sometimes locked behind getting quests.

Ecchi is a bit weaker then Some Some, mostly owing to the character designs. The Queen actually tries to wear full body clothing, since she comes from a frigid climate, while Mira has a slightly pervy take on an office lady as her design. Cg’s have cleavage and some ass, but nothing really graphic beyond the fade to blacks cgs aka the ones where they are about to have sex. It’s a classy take on ecchi where the shots don’t really feel out of place, it’s the heroines proportions and the coloring that makes them sexy.

Save for Miracle Snack Shop

Has all cgs, recipes, vip bios, and all the story scenes rewatchable from the gallery. Aka, you can rad everything without the game getting in the way if uou don’t want it to. You really only miss out on the silly advertisement scenes, which get really over the top in the dlc.

Save 1 is without dlc, save 2 is with.

Gameplay: 2/10 Eroticness: 5/10 Story: 6/10

Completion: What it took-

4 full runs is what it took. One I failed, one I got Mira with low money, then Queen, then both 1 million endings. Reading the story the game takes about 3-4 hours, skipping about 1.
