Magician of the Olecta Desert

H Scene Count- 24~

Created by 男爵領, translated by farcefield

Length- 8~ hours.

This is a spiritual succesor/sequel that only shares the MC of Escape from Fort Rugoem. For the most part the two games are incredibly similar, so I’m going to focus on the low amount of differences here. For a more thorough look at the game style, look at the Fort post.

*Note- Bug yaoi. This game does not contain that even though dlsite says it does. No idea why it lists that as a sexual genre.

The Puppeteer of Prizna

H Scene Count-

Created by , translated by

Length- 4-7 hours

So when I opened this and saw that it was another wolf maker game with a completely different style, I was impressed. That engine seems far more malleable then RPG Maker ever has been. But that was about the only real positive moment I had playing this.

But more of that later. This is The Puppeteer of Prizna. A wolf 1st person dungeon crawling RPG.

Ghost Town Gunsweeper

H Scene Count- 19~
Created by T-ENTA-P, translated/localized by Red Dahlia Interactive (on sale at nutaku)
Length- 3-5 hours

Forgot to take screenshots and already got rid of the game, so no pictures.

Anyway, this is an RPG Maker VX game from the makers of Shinobi Buster Mizuna(also on sale at Nutaku now). It’s also a sequel game without the original being brought over. It’s also the first game(to my knowledge) of Red Dahlia, some localization group that’s doing pretty random things.

Demon World Cave Lulu Farea~Screw, Defeat, Marry!~

H Scene Count- 27

Created by Galaxy Wars, translated by u-ray

Length- 5-8 hours

The name for this game is just wow. How incredibly descriptive. The game takes place in a cave full of demons, of which two are named Lulu and Farea. You screw them after defeating them, and talk about marrying. This is a pure(?) love defeat to sex puzzlish game. With monsterish girls.

Story

You are Klurs. You spent the last five years working your ass off with one goal in mind. To go to the Demon World cave and get along with monster girls! In order to do this you spent all your money on high tier gear and a fighting style that only stuns and does not kill monster girls.

Upon reaching the cave you get your stuff stolen by the strongest monster girl and are dumped outside the cave without your sword and shield. You are then taught about Goddess Fragments. These items that are poisonous to monsters to give humans more strength. Klurs, not the least worried about his defeat, goes to collect these fragments so he can defeat and get along with monster girls.

So this game actually has some really good writing. I cracked up a number of times and the game really likes to make you know that what Klurs is doing is rape, but he is doing it without any real evil intentions. He honestly(and correctly) believes that in order to marry the girls he first needs to beat them, then while they are unable to move have sex with them. After that they will be in love with him and they can be happy together. A lot of girls call him out on how ridiculous this actually is, and rightly so. I just wish the game called out on the fact all the girls are virgins for some reason. 500 year old fox demon? A virgin of course.

Anyway the game’s a romp of silly. You are basically a nicer, monster girl only Rance with no social skills at all. The only goal is to defeat and make the girls fall in love with sex.

The ending though is not what you would expect from the premise…

Gameplay

This is a puzzle RPG. Most of the maps are like the above. You have monsters and doors on each floor along with Goddess Fragments(stat ups and healing items). Your goal is to get to the stairs while getting as many powerups as you can while minimizing damage and key usages to what you can do. Nothing in this game respawns so the amount of strength and money is limited. Planning and maximizing gains is important. It is entirely possible to make the game unwinnable if you don’t do things right.

Combat is very basic. You have an attack and defense score and so do enemies. You also have a shield stat that acts as bonus health. The game will tell you how much damage an enemy will currently do to you and you decide if you want to fight or run. There is no random in this game. If you cannot hurt an enemy the game will force you to run.

So each floor is basically finding what you can fight, what items you can get and how best to navigate while using the lease amount of resources.

Honestly the game is really easy to play and can be quite fun.

H Scenes and other stuff

H scenes in this are long. Like stupid long. Usually because of the back and forth between the characters.

Each girl basically has one rapey ish scene and one lovey dovey scene. Sometimes they are both lovey dovey.

Not much to say on anything else, the graphics and music work but are nothing really noteworthy.

Verdict and Save

It’s fun and silly, which is what I needed after Tactics Elemental’s grinding bore. Few of the indie fan translated games I’ve played have had this much character and were written well. This is definitely one of the better games I’ve played in a while.

Demon World etc~

Save is in replay room with all scenes unlocked.

Tactics Elemental

H Scene Count: 266~

Created by Fred Perry

Length- 10~ hours to beat normally, 100~ to 100%.

FUCK IT, IT”S DONE

It took like two months to finish but I 100% the base version of Tactics Elemental. I won’t say it was worth it but I’m just glad to be done with the mindless combat stuff. Anyway…

Tactics Elemental is a SRPG that I funded on offbeatr like a year or two ago. I think the pitch was Fire Emblem supports but with porn. Which is basically right.

XVI~The Tower of Liz~

H Scene Count- 81+ with 3 non H
Created by Clymenia, translated by Yorimashi
Length- 5~ hours

This is XVI~The Tower of Liz~. No I have no idea what the 16 means. Maybe it’s Clymenia’s 16th product? If so that’s kinda amazing.Anyway, corruption focused RPG Maker VxAce game.

Also, screenshots! I finally bothered to look up how to do screenshots of active windows. It’s really easy and I feel like an idiot. Any game I cover from now on should have some screenshots of some sort. No h scene shots but at least combat and some art to show what the game looks like.

Mangagamer Survey Results Hints

I always love this time of year. When for like a day or two people throw completely random guesses at titles that Mangagamer has hinted at via their survey results.  As sad as it might seem to some people, this was the first thing I was looking forward to this year. It’s fun watching communities work together at stuff like this. I follow it pretty closely and so I figured I would compile the most sensible or sensical answers I’ve seen. Note that not every hint might have even been identified as of now or ever. I’m working with what we do know.

This will be getting a page with basically this post in a few days so if anyone wants to throw some knowledge or just check the answers when the time comes it’s in an easy to find place.

Stuff

In my last post I mentioned some things that I want to mention here, but I also figure I should go over some things like why I don’t do ratings because I want to.

So first, Games with noticeably bad English are done. As in I won’t play them anymore. This is for two reasons. First, RPGMaker Trans(a program to make patching RPG maker games easier and slightly less illegal) has gained a machine translation part to it. This of course will lead to people treating their machine translation patches as real translations and I’m not supporting that. Partly because some machine translations are complete jokes and I because I would rather support humans who learned a skill and may be getting paid for that skill then support the machine stealing job thing.
